viva las subject
the epic journey continues.

the list:

bunny - it's, uh... it's bunny. one panel, most of the time there are bunnies, and they do stuff in the panels. that's how they roll!

questionable content - young adults in an alternate universe live out their lives. very, very slowly. very. seriously, about 1300 comics, and i've forgotten how much comic time has actually passed - but i can assure you it's a lot less than some others. the art in particular is fantastic, and has evolved like fuck from the way it used to be, which is great. there are a bunch of criticisms that have been levelled at the comic: all the chicks have some sort of dysfunction, sometimes it seems like it tries too hard to be zany, etc etc, but really... it's a comic, and it's funny, and it is what it is. the jokes are still the same sort of jokes, and they're good, and i don't ask any more.

also, jeph knows his readers and he's not afraid to make fun of them. hell, yelling bird got his own spin-off, indietits, which gave us this.

toothpaste for dinner - observational humour, really, with a bit of nerd humour and silliness thrown in. the art style has barely changed in the entire time it's existed, i... i don't know what else to say. if you see whatever the newest comic is, you know what all the rest are like too.

overcompensating - what can i say about overcompensating that isn't better shown by the comic?

- "go away whitey leave us alone" "Indians!" "this isn't india dickass this is america" "Indians."
-
"There's the machine that lets me adjust the cheese level! If I had my way I'd crank that fucker even higher but the goddamn man won't let me."
- "...and the fcc will outlaw the broadcast of visual images" "Except for the executions of evil people! We have to be able to see that!" "well obviously i mean that is a basic human right"
- "Um... where do you go to leave comments?" "no see that's why newspapers cost money so you don't have to read other people's comments" "Brilliant."
- "Watermelon pedophile pickleslide shotgun starbucks pimp shame" - Nirvana, "Entire Library"
-
"Come on let me in, I can pee in the space between your legs and be real careful."
- "The system we're hackin' tonight has quintuple-bypass redundancy BIOS gigahertz encryption. We are going to have to hack our asses off!"
- "Jeffrey it's a miracle that I haven't kicked your ass yet." "That's not a miracle. That's a smart move."
- "internet is nature's way of saying kitten ass fuckshit cock ass balls bunnycunt"

pictures for sad children - it's pictures for sad children. um. it's like cat and girl, but more direct with its humour. much.

sheldon comics: it's like a newspaper comic, but insightful and funny.

ALL DONE i know i ran out of steam but fuck it, your problem not mine

I love that you did this. Love love love. Random observations: a) At a (very) cursory glance Penny & Aggie reminds me of Archie comics! which I suppose isn't entirely odd, for obvious reasons. Said comics are a guilty pleasure of mine, because... fuck I don't even know why, b) Totally feeling you re: XKCD's gradual descent into weird annoyingness, it's been having the same effect on me -- moreso since I've had it on a feed and subjecting myself to the LJ comments of various degrees of loldom it garners, c) Cat & Girl looks promising; have seen icons of the duo but never knew where they were from, d) A notable absence of awesome I notice: Red Meat comics motherfucker, do you read it? If so, why does it lack presence on thy list? If not, proceed henceforth and read, my pretty, read

penny & aggie is archie comics. if archie comics were funnier. and more about high school drama. uh. at any rate, look at how karen looks nowadays and tell me there's no veronica in there. but i love penny and aggie to bits, even if i'm nowhere near its demographic.

i avoid the rss feeds for most webcomics - the only ones i read are the ones where barely anybody comments on them. i don't like having to look at other fans. :/

i've seen redmeat around, i think i lumped it in... what's it called. um. it's the one that has the guy on the phone? another clip-art comic, looks a lot like 50s drawings, crap what is ittttt. at any rate, yeah. that.
