great piece before the internet took you for its own.
i really, really should have added lovecraft to my list. i might replace "war and peace", actually, because i think that might take a year alone. anyway, i really like what you've written - i think you're absolutely right. when something is containable as a thing, or a person or a whatever, it's contained, it's knowable, definable, it's ... something. chaos is not; chaos is not anything we can pin down except by its name, and even then he goes by the name Mr. Soak.
how the fuck do you write like this? this is awesome stuff. give me your skills, pleeeeease? i want to write like this. pleeeeeease? damn you & your degree. or just your silly boy brain which somehow manages to come up with things like this.
